Competition time!!!

I am really really enjoying making these beads at the moment and I am having a fair few ideas about them but I am failing miserably to think of a name for them. They kinds look like flowers to me but just not sure so I have decided as I have not posted a challenge for this months prize draw I will make the winner one of these beads in their chosen colours.

How do you win........simples.......leave a comment at the end of this post and on Sunday evening I will pick the one I like most and he or she can have one of my beadies!!!

So what are you waiting for get your thinking hats on and name my beads ;o)

thank you
TTFN xx

  1. They remind me of Chrysanthemums :) So if you can actually pronounce it, unlike me, that might be an idea?

  3. Peony. Beautiful big flowers, gentler than a rose. I have one that grows in the garden, it flowers in June. http://www.flyingflowers.co.uk/about-flowers/Flowers/FF_About_Peony,default,pg.html

  5. They look like roses. How about 'blue rose' or 'grey rose' for the name of the beads. They're lovely.

  6. Petals or .......mermaids - as they look like they are made from mermaid scales.

  8. I suggest morifolium - they look like the chrysanthemum buds used to make a tisane.

  11. They are gorgeous Sam!

They remind me of 'Globe Artichokes' - not a very inspiring name but a beautiful vegetable.

They also remind me of 'Damask Roses' - now they are beautiful.

  12. Lovely design Sam.
They remind me of Echeveria derenbergii, I didn't know the name til just now and have always called them 'Desert Rose'. Couldn't help thinking of them every time I heard the Sting song lol.
The pattern also makes me think of the amazing Rosette Nebula.
I can see why you are having a hard time choosing a name for them now.

  14. Lotus was the first thing I thought when I saw them so I agree with all the others!

Alternatively and much less glam...they also reming me of globe artichokes. The layers upon layers of leaves or petals are very similar.
