Going spotty dotty and lovin it!

Quick preview of the beads I will be putting up for sale later today. I am totally loving making these. To begin with it seemed really hard work and not much fun spending 15 mins on each bead but last night I made the white and grey ones and just totally found my groove (does that sound 80's naff or what!!!)

Do you know I think that taking my time and making bigger beads may actually help my impatience and concentration. Expect lots more dots! I kinda knew last summer when I introduced my "Dotty Mayhem" series that dots may feature heavily in my work and you know what I am even more convinced now that that is the case. I DO DOTS and I love them.

Better see if my customers like them as well before I get to excited.

Yay!!!!

Yay I have done it. These are round (well virtually!!!) As round as you can get I think! I am totally in love with them so gonna make some more today! I feel the return of my "Dotty Mayhem" series! These little beauties took about 15 mins each to make which is heck of a long time for me! I usually like quick fix beads which maybe why so many of my beads are little but these were a total joy to make and the possibilities are endless! Mmm...think I will get my rubino out again as well.

These wil be up for sale next Wednesday 24th June, this is part of my effort to get organised and so you guys know when new stock is available. Keep your eye on my "Bead Forecast" to find out when new stock will be listed!

I am kinda pleased with these

They are not perfect at all some of the dots need perfecting cos they went a bit splodgy but I do like these. Only problem is that I got bored after making 5 I have such a grasshopper brain sometimes.

Anyways Happy Easter to you all I hope you have lots of eggs but don't eat em all at once ;-)

I have had fun today

I have been making beads. I am still in dotty mayhem mode but I have gone large! (Big mac and fries with that!!!) I have made 2 sets that I am completely chuffed to bits with. One of them has been cleaned and temporarily strung already the other set is in the kiln I will have to see what the kiln fairies leave me in the morning! I think I may have my competition entry! But I am so chuffed with them that I wanna show em off! Mm...will have to see what I think in the morning! maybe play with the design a bit more and refine it before I submit it!

What I have realised is that I am not that brill with the presses. So...I sold them! I have just bought one that I am waiting to be delivered but this is one that I have been after for a while the others were impulse buys cos they seemed like a good idea!

I have 2 orders for the art clay fingerprint pendants and a third just waiting for the necklaces to be delivered so I am doing ok again at the moment! I hope this continues and that the bead show is successful as well. As much as I keep telling myself not to expect to much my hopes are high!!

Right I need food so I am off now. See you soon...Oh and a photo session is booked for tomorrow evening so stock will be going up on the website tomorrow or Thursday so don't forget to have a look!!!

music to torch to...

I have discovered that I need music to torch to!!! Muse, Dave Gahan, Depeche Mode, The Feeling, these seem to produce the best results!!! How very bizarre! Still if it helps then who am I to go against it eh!!!.

As you can see the "Dotty Mayhem" series continues! I am really enjoying practicing my dot placement and think that at last I have some dotty beads to be proud of. I have sold one of my sets so I am hopeful for the other 2 and who knows how many more will come along. It is a fab way of exploring colour combinations and very good for me to practice as I have quite shaky hands and this helps me to control it! These beads are going to be available for sale once the proper pictures are done. I will get a few more sets together so probabaly the end of the week before they go up! I went for a bike ride with my youngest yesterday and we rode along the sea shore and the sea was shades of green with a blue sky (and loads of cloud!) but hence the colour choice of periwinkle and teal. This colour combination works very well anyway so I went with it!!!

I have also managed to squeeze in some Olympics whilst I have been tootling around! I love the rowing and the cycling but have completely got into the swimming as well. Rebecca Adlington was supreme in the pool and will be worth watching in 2012.
